If you’d like a direct cremation, but would like to attend the crematorium to witness the committal, or to spend a few moments with a small number of family members or friends, the Intimate Cremation may suit you.

What’s included in our Intimate Cremation?

Our services to make the arrangements for the cremation
Funeral transport to collect your loved one in our private ambulance
Care of the deceased in our funeral home in Swindon
A simple wooden coffin (or the option to choose an alternative)
Transportation of your loved one in a hearse to the crematorium, and carried into the service chapel at the crematorium by our team of pallbearers
Up to 10 people can attend the crematorium for 10 minutes to witness the committal. These are early morning time slots at the crematorium.
All cremation fees for a cremation at Kingsdown Crematorium in Swindon
The ashes will be available for you to collect in an bio-degradable urn. Or they can be scattered on your behalf in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium

Extra’s that we won’t charge you for, but others might:

Dressing your loved on in their own clothes
Placing personal items into the coffin
Playing a special piece of music at the Crematorium

An alternative, personalised coffin
A larger coffin, if necessary
The option to visit your loved one to say a final goodbye in our Chapel of Rest, where the coffin will be placed before you arrive
A special keepsake urn
